Attendance

Pupils from statutory school age attend school for a maximum of 190 days in each academic year. Full attendance is very important for your child’s progress and the Local Authority expects all parents and carers to ensure their child attends school whenever possible.

Illness

• If your child is unable to attend school due to illness, please telephone the office on 01865 558 301 before 8.45am to report their absence and let us know their symptoms
• Please phone every morning until they are back at school
• Please note that in some cases we may require a doctor's note.

ALL other types of absence

• If you need to apply for your child to be absent from school for ANY reason other than illness (including medical appointments, religious observance, interviews...), please complete the school's Absence request form (link below). Once the form has been processed you will receive a reply by email information you of whether the request has been authorised or declined by the Headteacher. 
• Please fill in one form per child per absence.
