Reception places
Children are eligible to start school full time in the September after their 4th birthday, and they must have started by the term after they turn 5.
Key dates for Reception places starting September 2025 are as follows:

If you are offered a place at Wolvercote Primary and accept it, in the July before your child is due to start they will be invited in for play sessions in the Reception unit so they can get to know the staff and the environment. Parents will be invited to an information meeting at which the teachers will be able to give you an idea of what will happen in the first weeks of term and what is needed in preparation.
